Late summer photos from Crex Meadows Wildlife Area

After a rather busy summer on the home front, Pam and I got away for a quick trip to the Crex Meadows Wildlife Area last week. The weather forecast was great and our calendars clear so we took the leap and headed out.

There isn't a lot of wildlife activity this time of the year but with a lot of driving and searching we were able to find some wildlife photo opportunities. I hope you enjoy the images I have posted below.

Also, don't forget that the annual Sandhill Crane staging will be taking place late in October at Crex Meadows if you would like to experience a unique nature phenomenon.
